Kargo mobile brand advertising has welcomed Perry Smith to their sales team to spearhead sales efforts in the Melbourne and Victoria markets.
As sales manager, Smith will support the growth of business throughout APAC, helping brands to strategically utilize mobile advertising to deliver high-quality consumer experiences.
He will report directly to Peter Birch, commercial director, APAC.
It is predicted that in 2019 Australians will spend more time looking at their phones than watching TV.
Smith’s mission in Melbourne reflects Kargo’s overall passion–to offer leading brands and their ad agencies Kargo’s innovative mobile video and display experiences, delivering real results for businesses looking to compete in the mobile age.
Smith brings his impressive background in mobile advertising to Kargo, including his four-year tenure as a mobile specialist at Archant in London before making the move to Melbourne in 2014 to take up an agency sales role at Domain.
He’s built strong agency relationships throughout Melbourne, most recently leading business development at Peazie.
Peter Birch commented: “Perry is not only an experienced digital expert with great industry connections and a wealth of local and international knowledge, he also exemplifies transparency and integrity in his work.
“These qualities align perfectly with Kargo’s values, and are the qualities we demand in all the candidates that we bring through our doors.”
With this key new hire, Kargo strengthens its commitment to the Melbourne market and continues the company’s expansion and growth throughout APAC.
Kargo has also recently announced the appointment of Maria Bajalica as sales manager for New Zealand, as well as opening new offices in Sydney, Auckland, and Brisbane.
Smith added: “Kargo’s growth throughout Australia is testament to the increasing demand for quality mobile advertising.
“I’m thrilled to represent a company whose mobile-first approach unifies all the elements required for brands to truly flourish on this channel.”
