AUCKLAND, Today: Global brand ads leader Kargo has announced a significant addition to its team in New Zealand and Australia, appointing Maria Bajalica as sales manager in New Zealand.

This moves comes on the heels of new office openings in Sydney, Auckland, and Brisbane, with a new location soon coming in Melbourne.

Bajalica’s goal is to deliver business revenue from new and existing clients. She will report directly to Peter Birch, Kargo’s Sydney-based Apac commercial director.

Bajalica joins Kargo with more than 10 years’ of experience working in digital media in New Zealand, most recently serving as direct sales manager for NZME.

The company say Bajalica’s appointment demonstrates Kargo’s continued commitment to the New Zealand market and supports the company’s growth plan within the ANZ territory.

Kargo Apac GM Robert Leach (also Sydney-based) said: “With revenue forecasted to double in New Zealand during 2019, this expanded presence ensures that Kargo will continue to deliver high- quality results for its publishers and advertisers.

“Kargo’s primary objective is to create beautiful mobile ad experiences that people remember seeing on their phones, delivering measurable results for those businesses in New Zealand looking to excel in this mobile age.

“Not only does Maria understand this imperative, but she is a champion of our goal to put the art into ad tech for the New Zealand market.”

While with NZME, she achieved revenue and performance targets across all key metro markets.

“I’ve always admired Kargo’s unique proposition in New Zealand’s digital market, which is to drive creative advertising beyond baseline hygiene metrics to the highest levels of ROAS,” said Bajalica.

“I’m thrilled about the opportunity to apply my expertise in the mobile market with beautiful creative, while also being able to support publishers in sustaining the editorial business model.”
