SMALL BUSINESSES, BIPOC ENTREPRENEURS, GIVING GIFTS, GIVING BACK…THESE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS
’Tis the season before the holiday season, and for Kargo the hustle and bustle starts now as we prepare our annual holiday gift guide. Now in its third season, our highly anticipated gift guide exclusively spotlights products from BIPOC-owned businesses and helps us fulfill an important holiday wish: celebrating diversity and fostering inclusivity in holiday shopping traditions. In the first two years, our gift guide fulfilled over 1,100 holiday gifts and secured $100,000 in sales for the participating businesses!
But before we can create the guide, we need to curate the goods.
If you’re a BIPOC-entrepreneur, apply now for your chance to increase your audience and your sales this holiday season.
Throughout the month of September, we’re actively seeking applications from BIPOC-owned small businesses focused on beauty, fashion, home decor and other gift items for the holidays.
In October, our Diversity & Inclusion Committee will select 15-20 brands/goods to featured in our Holiday gift guide.
In November, we’ll send the guide to our clients, inviting them to select a holiday gift courtesy of Kargo. We’ll also send the guide to our media, marketing and advertising partners to help them discover and give unique and meaningful gifts to their families, friends and customers. The overall distribution will be approximately 30K.
We’ll also create a series of social posts promoting selected brands/goods. These posts will reach approximately 20K+ Kargo fans and followers.
Kargo brings big ideas to the small screen, creating mobile advertising solutions for publishers, advertisers and brands. We’ve come a long way since our three-people-in-a shared-office-space days and we’d like to help other small businesses grow and succeed, too. Our gift guide focus on BIPOC-owned brands is part of our ongoing efforts to bring diversity, equity and inclusion to the forefront of everything we do in our industry and beyond.
